Current project : solar panels
Each year, a significant portion of the budget is allocated to heating the building. To reduce these costs, we decided to invest in installing solar panels. During sunny days, water will be heated through the energy drawn from the panels, and the excess will be used through a household appliance.
In order to install the solar panels, we need to make some changes in our courtyard. Since Herrnhut is considered a monument, we can't install the panels on the roofs, and so we decided to build a wooden structure ( in the back of the courtyard) on which the panels will be placed, and inside a storage space will be created.
We are starting the whole project on Saturday morning, 8.06.2024, by replanting all the bushes and preparing the area for putting up the wooden structure.
We will be posting the pictures from that time in here, so everybody who is interested in that project can see the progress.
